During all the hysteria about Sarah Palin and whether she’s fit to be vice president, did anyone happen tonotice that Joe Biden is a downright clownish bungler whose gaffes are simply too many and too wild to be dismissed as being of little consequence?
True, he’s a likable guy who projects sincerity and any number of other impressive attributes. Maybe that’s why his barrage of mistakes draws no lingering media attention.

Biden has mostly received winks or shrugs when the more appropriate reaction would have been astonishment.

His recent debate performance yielded false information very nearly unbelievable in someone who has spent 36 years in the Senate and served on its Foreign Relations Committee.

Unbelievably, he said, for example, that the United States and France had kicked Hezbollah out of Lebanon. In fact, no such thing ever happened.

He bumbled on in the debate to reveal to viewers that he had absolutely no idea of what the Constitution says about the office he is seeking.

In superior tones, he informed Palin that the vice president can preside over the Senate only in case of a tie vote. And continued with his pontifications, saying that the vice president’s duties are outlined in Article One, which, lectured Biden, concerns itself with the executive branch of government.

Wrong, wrong and wrong.

Article One concerns itself with the legislative, not the executive branch.

And as to the vice president’s duties, the article says: “The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no Vote, unless they be equally divided.”

So the vice president doesn’t preside over the Senate only in the event of a tie, as Prof. Biden asserted.

Yes, Palin got some things wrong, as well, such as referring to Army Gen. David McKiernan who commands our military in Afghanistan as “Gen. McClellan.”

But that slip of the tongue was nothing compared to Biden’s wildy wide-of-the-mark foreign policy and constitutional observations.

Nothing Palen has said is as dumb and dumbfounding as Biden’s comments a while back on the subject of thre 1929 stock market crash.

Said Biden in an interview with Katie Couric of CBS News: “When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television….He said, ‘Look, here’s what happened.”‘

For one thing, TV wasn’t around in those days. For another, Roosevelt wasn’t president then. Herbert Hoover was.

It bespeaks something frightening to confuse this version of things with Roosevelt’s radio talks during the Depression.

Either Biden is so loose with details as to be prone to carelessness or he is ignorant of basics or he just can’t distinguish between fact and fiction.

That last possibility can’t be discounted.

He portrayed himself in his vice presidential nomination acceptance speech as coming from a working-class family.

But as columnist Steve Chapman has observed, his father had been a sales manager, a business executive, part owner of an airport and of a crop-dusting firm. Despite some hard times, the father was hardly blue-collar working class.

Also, Biden once said, when running for president himself, that he had graduated in the top half of his law school class. Actually, he graduated 76th in a class of 85.

In the recent debate, he aimed to show a common touch by making it sound like he frequents a regular-folks hangout, Katie’s restaurant in Wilmington, Del. Only it turns out the place has been closed for 20 years.

It’s hard to come up with an explanation for all of this that puts one’s mind at ease on Biden.

* People who want a candidate who isn’t a Washington insider, yet will question their experience as in Sarah Palin who actually has more executive experience than Barack Obama, Joe Biden and John McCain combined. She also has more foreign policy experience than Barack Obama and HE is running for President! (Yes, just negotiating with Canada alone, beats Obama who has negotiated with ZERO countries.)= IDIOT

* Supporting a candidate who supports and represents a radical illegal organization that commits major voting fraud,” ACORN.” This cancels out knowlegable voters and legitimate voters who obey the law and play by the rules. We have ACORN employess on video telling how they were ordered to register AND ENCOURAGE voters to vote democrat. But Barack Obama doesn’t care, as long as he says and does anything to get elected and drive us into disaster for America. = IDIOT

* Supporting a candidate who claims to represent “hope and change” yet requested over 900 million dollars in earmarks for radical associates and convicted felons. This in only 2 years! Yes, this makes you an idiot and it isn’t just an opinion. Supporting a candidate who voted against warnings on the housing market and took the 2nd highest amount of campaign contributions from the very same organizations that drove us into a recession makes you an idiot. Supporting a candidate whose economic advisor is Franklin Raines, the man who ran Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae into the ground while making 91 million dollars in 6 years, makes you an idiot.

* Supporting a candidate who attends one the most popular black liberation theology churches in America, makes you an idiot.(especially if you are white) Supporting a candidate that says he doesn’t want his daughters “punished” with kids, makes you an idiot. Supporting a candidate who constantly lies, flip flops on every issue,(depending who he is talking to) thinks there is 57 states, has sick views on abortion, votes present in senate (except for over 90 times when he was for tax increases) requested marxist professors in college and won’t release his college transcripts, makes you an idiot.

* Supporting a candidate who says “A white mans need, runs a world in greed” makes you an idiot. Especially if you are a white man.

* Supporting a candidate who earmarked millions for his so-called non-profit hospital, giving his wife a six figure raise and turning away poor people with no insurance, while terroizing them with collection agencies, makes you an idiot.

* Voting for Barack Obama because you think he is charasmatic, articulate, clean, handsome, fresh or because he is (half) black, makes you an idiot. Yes, it does.

* Supporting a candidate whose only experience is a community agitator (see “ACORN”) freshman senator who votes present because he can’t make a decision and jive talks his way through speeches with lies and no substance, makes you an idiot.

I can go on forever about the worse presidential candidate in the history of America. I can come up with about 100 more reasons this guy spells DISASTER FOR AMERICA. You think it’s bad now, you just wait if Barack Obama gets elected.

That’s something vicitms of “community organizing” believe. People need to realize the destruction of America has been caused mostly by democrats. It seems in 2008, we are no longer at “ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country” to ” what are you going to give me if I vote for you.”

Barack Obama played the “me too” game during the Friday debates on September 26 after Senator John McCain mentioned that he was wearing a bracelet with the name of Cpl. Matthew Stanley, a resident of New Hampshire and a soldier that lost his life in Iraq in 2006. Obama said that he too had a bracelet. After fumbling and straining to remember the name, he revealed that his had the name of Sergeant Ryan David Jopek of Merrill, Wisconsin.

Shockingly, however, Madison resident Brian Jopek, the father of Ryan Jopek, the young soldier who tragically lost his life to a roadside bomb in 2006, recently said on a Wisconsin Public Radio show that his family had asked Barack Obama to stop wearing the bracelet with his son’s name on it. Yet Obama continues to do so despite the wishes of the family.
Radio host Glenn Moberg of the show “Route 51″ asked Mr. Jopek, a man who believes in the efforts in Iraq and is not in favor of Obama’s positions on the war, what he and his ex-wife think of Obama continually using their son’s name on the campaign trail. Jopek began by saying that his ex-wife was taken aback, even upset, that Obama has made the death of her son a campaign issue. Jopek says his wife gave Obama the bracelet because “she just wanted Mr. Obama to know Ryan’s name.” Jopek went on to say that “she wasn’t looking to turn it into a big media event” and “just wanted it to be something between Barack Obama and herself.” Apparently, they were all shocked it became such a big deal.
